Ragdoll kittens love to curl up in a soft place, often on a windowsill or next to their favorite human. We like to offer several beds around the house and we like to buy inexpensive ones so they can be easily washed or replaced as needed. Take a look: https://a.co/d/b6bR9pX

Ragdoll kittens grow up to be fairly large cats and they need room to move around in their litter box.  We recommend a large stainless steel litter box. Our kittens are litter box trained to use standard clumping litter before they go to their new homes.

You will want to keep your Ragdoll kittens nails trimmed regularly. Your FTLOP kitten has been getting used to nail trims from a very young age and it is a pretty easy task. We include a nail clipper in your kitten's go home gift bag!

You will want to have a cat friendly crate to transport your Ragdoll kitten in when traveling to the vet. Add it to your list of cat things to shop for! Awesome Cat Trees are great places for cats to get up off the ground away from chaos and other pets when they feel the need. The are wonderful to place near a window so your Ragdoll kitten can catch some rays and watch birds! You Ragdoll will be of substantial size so you'll want to shop for a fairly sturdy model. This is a common one at our place: https://a.co/d/67IRgI5 . You'll notice the built in scratching posts and real carpet, which holds up much better than the fluffy covered trees. 

Choose dishes that are wide and shallow to avoid whisker fatigue. Ceramic or stainless steel is best. Wash your cats dishes often to ward off bacteria that can cause gum disease. Water should be changed daily. Here's an example of a nice set: https://a.co/d/h668Gxb

Ragdolls require regular grooming. De-shedding tools can damage their luxurious coat. Our favorite type of comb is included in your kitten's go home gift bag!

You may want your cat to wear a collar. We choose not to use collars, but we understand that they ARE quite cute and many people enjoy buying them for their cats. The most important thing about using a cat collar is that it be the style that breaks away easily so that it doesn't get caught on something and cause stress or choking death to your cat. 

There are MANY articles about feline nutrition that you can read, and we encourage you to do so and make the best decision for you and your cat when deciding what to feed your Ragdoll kittens. We also recommend that you take guidance from your veterinarian when making food choices. It IS VERY important however, that you not make sudden changes in your kitten's diet. Any changes should be made gradually. Here's what your kitten is eating when they leave FTLOP Ragdolls: Iams Kitten Dry Food and Tiny Tiger Kitten Pate. We strongly encourage you to keep them on this food for several months after they come home. Moving is stressful and their stomach will be much happier if their food remains the same.
