At For the Love of Pete Ragdolls, naming kittens is one of our favorite parts of the process — and no, it’s not just because we get to revisit all our favorite baby name lists. It’s because every litter tells a story, and we believe in giving that story a name… or five.
That’s why we love using themes for our litters.
Whether it’s a beloved TV show, a favorite place, or a musical legend, choosing a theme gives each litter a sense of unity — a vibe that fits their personality, their connection to one another, and (let’s be honest) our own current obsessions. It’s a little extra magic on top of their fluffy adorableness.
It also makes each group of kittens easier to remember as they grow, and gives our families a glimpse into the whimsy and love that goes into every detail of our program.
Over the years, we’ve named litters after sitcoms (hello, Friends), mountain ranges (shoutout to our Montana babies), and even our favorite feel-good songs. And now… it’s time for something iconic.
