What Is a Cherubim Ragdoll?
A Newly Recognized Class, An Enduring Lineage
Cherubim Ragdolls may feel new to some, but they’ve been part of the breed’s foundation from the start. These are not hybrids or offshoots—they are Ragdolls in every meaningful way. The only difference lies in their coloring: full-body rich tones without the pointed contrast seen in traditional blue-eyed Ragdolls.
With TICA’s new classification taking effect May 1, 2025, these cats will now compete for championship titles under the “Cherubim” designation (code CB). For families who appreciate the elegance of a Ragdoll and the depth of color and eye variety, Cherubim Ragdolls offer the best of both.
Temperament That Stays True to the Breed
The Classic Ragdoll Disposition, Cherubim-Coated
Cherubim Ragdolls inherit everything that makes the breed special:
-
Gentle, even-tempered, and social
-
Known for their calm, cuddly nature
-
Loyal companions that follow you around the house
-
Great with kids, other pets, and multi-generational households
Each FTLOP kitten is raised in a setting that nurtures confidence, affection, and ease around people. Our approach emphasizes socialization, handling, and trust, ensuring a loving fit for your home from the beginning.
The Cherubim’s Signature Look
Cherubim Ragdolls come in three coat types—mink, sepia, and solid. Each one brings a unique tone and eye color that sets them apart from the traditional blue-eyed pointed Ragdoll.
- Mink: Even-toned coats in rich colors with stunning aqua eyes
- Sepia: Deeper, warmer coats with green, chartreuse, or gold eyes
- Solid: Fully saturated color throughout with eyes in hazel, copper, or bronze tones
From soft seal and lilac to deep chocolate and blue, Cherubims carry the same classic colors but with more intensity and depth. Their coats are sleek and consistent from head to tail, offering a velvety, elegant presence that’s hard to overlook.
TICA Recognition of Cherubim Ragdolls
As of May 1, 2025, The International Cat Association (TICA) officially recognizes Cherubim Ragdolls—including mink, sepia, and solid varieties—as a distinct class within the Ragdoll breed group. This change allows these cats to compete for championship titles and be registered under their own designation (CB), giving them the visibility and credibility they’ve long deserved.
The update also acknowledges the role non-pointed Ragdolls have played in the breed’s foundation and offers buyers and breeders clear guidance on how these cats fit within the Ragdoll family today.
Our Commitment to the Line
Why We’ve Always Raised Cherubims
While some breeders stepped away from mink, sepia, and solid Ragdolls, we never did. We’ve raised Cherubims for years—not for trends or titles, but because we believe in their beauty, their temperament, and their rightful place in the breed’s foundation.
Our families feel the same. Many return for a second or even third kitten. Once you’ve experienced life with a Cherubim, it’s hard to imagine anything else.

Limited Availability and High Demand
Cherubim kittens are often reserved in advance. We maintain a priority list and occasionally have kittens become available unexpectedly. If you’re interested in a mink, sepia, or solid Ragdoll kitten, we recommend reaching out early.
